The 2012 Awards of Excellence competition has concluded. Thank you to all who entered. Check back later for details about the 2013 contest.
Do you have a magnificent marinade? A likeable label? A savory sauce that simply stands out? Don’t hide it from your fellow barbecue enthusiasts!
This is your chance to share your inspiration with the barbecue world and be recognized for your outstanding contribution to our industry. The annual NBBQA Awards of Excellence (AOE) recognizes the very best products in four main food categories: Barbecue Sauce, Dry Rubs & Seasonings, Marinades, and Anything Goes. Judges will also select outstanding entries in non-tasting categories like BBQ Labels, Accessories and Apparel. In all, 24 sub-categories will be judged, so no matter what your barbecue style, there’s an opportunity to stake your claim as the best of the best.
The competition is held in advance of the annual NBBQA National Conference and Trade Show in February. First, second and third place medals will be awarded during the AOE ceremony at the conference.
Entry fees for members are just $50 for the first product and $30 for each additional entry. As this is a highly competitive event, we encourage everyone to go carefully read all of the contest rules to avoid an unintentional disqualification. Remember, one application is required for each entry, so please duplicate the application form as necessary. Entries must be received by January 20. If you have questions, feel free to contact NBBQA Headquarters at 888-909-2121 or nbbqa@hqtrs.com.
Get ready to stir up your sauce, lay out your label and mix up your marinade for these exciting awards … best of luck to one and all!
