Event Details
Every year the barbecue industry recognizes the best products through the awards of excellence.
For the judging, the NBBQA is reaching out to its sanctioning body member's certified judges. Who else has more experience in assessing the flavors of barbecue that these passionate and well-trained people?
If you would like to judge who must be a trained and sanctioned judge of one of the following Associations...
- Steak Cookoff Association (SCA)
- Memphis Barbecue Network (MBN)
- Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS)
- Pacific Northwest Barbecue Association (PNWBA)
- EAT certified by the World Food Championships
AND
Not have an entry in the Awards of Excellence; this as you as an individual, your family, and/or the business you work for.
If you don't meet both these criteria then you may still attend in a volunteer capacity, but not as a judge.
Post Judging Meal and Get Together
Too often we judge then run off to our next commitment. We would like to invite to stay afterward for a hearty winter meal prepared by the Sweet Swine O'Mine team and colleagues.
The price for this will be $20 and include a lucky door prize.
