Meathead is the author and photographer of "Meathead: The Science of Great Barbecue and Grilling". Written with the help of Prof. Greg Blonder of Boston University, it was a New York Times bestseller, named one of the "100 Best Cookbooks of All Time" by Southern Living Magazine, one of the "25 Favorite Cookbooks of All Time" by Christopher Kimball's Milk Street, one of the "22 Essential Cookbooks for Every Kitchen" by SeriousEats.com, and The Chicago Tribune called him “as brainy as Food Network’s Alton Brown. Meathead studied journalism at the University of Florida and has a Masters in Fine Arts from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has also taught art, wine, and barbecue at Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago and Cornell University. He is the owner, barbecue whisperer, and hedonism evangelist of the world's largest and most popular outdoor cooking website AmazingRibs.com.
