Meet Jess

Jess and her husband, "Big Joe" Semack, founded and run Motley Que, a family-owned BBQ sauce and seasoning company based in Edmonton, Alberta. Their tagline is "Feed Your Obsession," and they mean it.

Motley Que's Sticky Fixx sauce took the top prize at the American Royal's world sauce contest — earning the title of "Best BBQ Sauce on the Planet" — and their lineup has collected awards in the U.S., Canada, and right here at NBBQA. Jess is also the voice behind many of Motley Que's recipes, so expect a few ideas you'll want to steal for your next cook.
