Grant Ford

Grant Ford, The last of the Fools' of the BBQ'n Fools Competition Cooking Team, was known for his chicken entries at KCBS events for decades all over the US. Taking 5 State Grand Championships – three in a row one year. In 2003 Grant of the BBQ’n Fools got to Represent the State of California, at the Jack Daniel World Championship Invitational Barbeque, taking a 5th place in Brisket and 20th overall. But most of that was in the olden days.
In 2007 Grant started BBQ’n Fools Catering, llc. He continued to do catering until the Government mandates in 2020 that shut down groups gathering and so the money stopped and retirement became the way to go. Today coming out of retirement Grant and his wife, Jeni, (known as the BBQ Lady) are re-launching the BBQ'n Fools Sauces, Seasoning & Rubs. Grant developed many new products over the years, winning awards in all the great competitions. This year alone Grant has received 9 Awards from 1st to 3rd and recently a 2nd Place People’s Preference. Grant’s 2026 new sauce took a 1st place Scovies and Golden Chili Award; the sauce also took 2nd Place People’s Preference - "Spicy Teriyaki Pepper Sauce". His list of awards has reached over 117. When it comes to your BBQ, he’s not Fool’n around.
There is a plan for a soft launch in the fall of 2026 with a major launch as early as March of 2027. Don’t be fooled, the Fool is Back!
