NBBQA Live Fire Experience: Greenwood Smoke & Sear invites the public to gather around the fire for a flavorful weekend in Greenwood, South Carolina, October 9–10, 2026.

Hosted by the National Barbecue & Grilling Association, this event celebrates the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of live fire cooking. Guests will have the opportunity to experience the energy of cooking over open flames, meet talented cooks, enjoy public tasting and sampling, connect with barbecue and grilling brands, and take in the Southern hospitality that makes Greenwood the perfect place to gather.

11:00 AM - 6:00 PM Live Fire Cooking Competition Competitors will cook over live fire in a regional qualifier-style event connected to the NBBQA Live Fire Experience Series.
11:00 AM - 3:00 PM Public Tasting & Sampling Experience Guests will enjoy live fire flavor, public sampling, team interaction, and Southern hospitality.
